Maryam's Last Months

E-mail Print PDF

The Hospital Where Maryam DiedContrary to the press release and other information about Mrs. Maryam Babangida's last few months, AgainstBabangida.com can reveal that her cancer was declared terminal in France and she had been given two months to live. Upon the determination, the Babangida family moved her to the United States in the hope she can be cured.

We also can reveal that she was treated at the City of Hope Medical Center, and not the University of California Los Angele’s (UCLA) Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Los Angeles.

One of the professionals who treated Mrs. Babangida, wrote: "She was treated at City of Hope hospital, just outside of Los Angeles, California. She came to us from France, where doctors thought her condidtion too terminal to treat and gave her two months to live. She lived for over six months under our care.

"The Babangida family were treated well, as are all of our patients.  They were accorded the respect we accord every patient, but we certainly realized their position.

"The family continually expressed their gratitude for Maryam's care, and appreciated the extra few months of life we were able to provide. She passed in peace and with dignity with her family by her side."

The City of Hope Medical Center is recognized worldwide for its compassionate patient care, innovative science and translational research, which rapidly turns laboratory breakthroughs into promising new therapies.

It is one of only 40 National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the US and a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.

Let us call a spade a spade and damn the consequences that such fact often herald.Maryam Babangida died like a bloody pauper becuase of her life's work. She supported her husband as expected but did not suport her Country. This is the reason she was cursed not live her last days happily. She could have used her position to deal with more meaninful and lasting issues like bettering the health sector in the whole Country, creating a better health delivery system. But she stupidly decided to form the better life for rural women that died after her husband was forced to quit office.Better life program she formed is no more, neither is there a better health delivery system. She and her husband rode the political horse in Nigeria and were sadled with her wellbeing for eight good years, what did we get in the health sector? Nothing. What did we get from them for cancer research? Nothing.Incidentally and not coincidentally the bloody whore has died of ovarian cancer the very treatment she could have helped create by early detection in good healthcare delivery but she refused millions of Nigerian women, held her down and killed her just as she desered. May this woman rot in hell. May her linage be wiped out in this generation and not live to see thier children nor her husband behold his grandchildren.May her children wander about motherless, rutherless and fatherless for the rest of thier short and cursed lifes.may the best they have all taken from millions of nigerian turn to the worst for them multiplied by a million fold.As for her husband, may he be refused all that he desires .From this day forth and for everlasting to everlasting, may the mere thought and mention of his name by anybody anywhere in the world cause him intence physical pain and all his plans turn sour so as for the whole Country to behold.AS FOR YOU MARIAM, YOU WILL NEVER REST IN PEACE AS LONG AS NIGERIAN WOMEN STILL DIE OF OVARIAN CANCER.

Now that she is dead so many have thronged to the Babangida mansion to hypocritically pay homage to one of the best womenn to ever walk the face of the earth.Utter rubish. It would have been better if it had been like this :"The late Mariam Babangida built and donated to the University of Lagos Teaching hospital a two story building for the reseach and investigation of ovarian cancer with fully installed aparatus of the latest technology for the detection and treatment of ovarian cancer" Nothing like this was done. Instead she created the dead Better Life Program that died when her husband left office.Ironically, this act that was not done was to lead to her early demis. If she had done the above or similar, her cancer would have been detected early and cured. But greed and inordinate ambition did not allow her.Because of the fact that this is not done, many Nigerian women are dying of ovarian cancer. This woman maryiam Babangida will rot in hell. She had the power to do it but she didn't her reward will be .........................................................

Let's face it - we have all always suspected Ibrahim Babangida of being a drug dealer. The story of Gloria Okon, Dele Giwa's death, the burning of the Ministry of Defence and other stories are all allegedly tied to an official drug ring during IBB's regime. We researched the rumors, and this is what we found.

In an authoritative report still posted on the web site of the Canadian Parliament on the drug trade in Africa, Labrouse marks out Ibrahim Babangida, Nigeria's former self-appointed president, as one of the drug-dealing dictators in Africa. Read more

Dele Giwa, a journalist, was allegedly murdered on the 26 of October 1986 by the former military dictator Ibrahim Babaginda - following damning publications. Close observers of the Nigerian media feared then it was the beginning of harsh military dictatorship in the country. It was a true assessment.

Babangida refused to appear before the duly constituted Oputa panel, giving assorted reasons for his refusal. Ray Ekpu, Giwa's colleague, said: Well, the government may say that the killers have not been found but the killers are known. ...Many Nigerians agree that it was a state sponsored terrorism and that he was assassinated by the state. Read More

Nigeria's military dictatorship, led by General Ibrahim Babangida, annulled the Jun 12 presidential election and canceled plans to return the nation to civilian rule. Britain, the United States and France condemned the latest military takeover and threatened to toughen sanctions against NigeriaAbacha urged all Nigerians to forget the June 12 election.

Lagos lawyer, Gani Fawehinmi, however, said: "June 12 is a symbol of our democracy. It was a day Nigeria and Nigerians without any discrimination whatsoever united in voting Chief MKO Abiola in the freest election in the history of election in Nigeria. ... Read More

Most Nigerian leaders have been corrupt, but Ibrahim Babangida added new, historic elements to corruption. One prime example is what he did with the defunct BCCI Bank. BCCI's activities in Nigeria were so profoundly, overwhelmingly corrupt as to suggest a very significant level of corruption in Nigerian officialdom generally.

Whereas BCCI's activities in most countries merely involved corrupting a few, key people, in Nigeria the corruption was systemic and endemic, and touched nearly every operation of the bank in Nigeria. The bank was operated by Babangida and his friends, including a deposed powerful ruler in northern Nigeria. Read More
