The fight against the return of  General Ibrahim Babangida as Nigeria's leader is intensifying by the day. Now the battle is being fought at different fronts by non-affiliated groups. Againstbabangida.com brings you the documentary aired several times on AIT Television by a group called the NorthCentral Democratic Vanguard.

This gripping video narration of the friendship between General Ibrahim Babangida and the late General Mamman Vatsa reveals how Babangida betrayed his best friend just to hold on to power. The Vatsa family claimed the killing of their breadwinner was a "miscarriage of justice." Professor Wole Soyinka and The Guardian, among others, have now requested that the case be re-opened by the government to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the coup trial in which Vatsa was found guilty was properly conducted.

The NorthCentral Democratic Vanguard, in  opposing the presidential ambition of fthe ormer military ruler, released the documentary to raise public awareness about one of the hidden secrets of the Babangida junta.

The documentary went down memory lane to highlight the controversies linking Babangida to the assassination of journalist Dele Giwa, the C130 aircrash that killed several brilliant military officers and the execution of General Vatsa for a phantom coup plot.

Againstbabangida.com salutes the courage and patriotism of the NorthCentral Democratic Vanguard, which operates close to the dictator's direct sphere of influence.

"“The musical chairs being played by the military, let us make up our minds not to dance to this thing. Enough is enough. We are being insulted. Right, left and centre. What is it? People shoot their way to power, accumulating masses and masses and masses of resources through illegal means and using the assets to come and dominate our lives all over again." - Prof Wole Soyinka, Nobel Prize Winner, commenting on General Babangida's presidential ambition.
