IBB, OBJ and the PDP Primaries
Written by Againstbabangida.com

The  PDP Primaries coming up in December, 2006 is a crucial event . The ruling party, with Obasanjo as the undisputed leader, is reported to have concluded on Babangida, following alleged convictions that he had the "needed political clout and electoral value that would deliver victory to the party in the general elections". That is a betrayal of Nigeria's  hope. That is the greatest sell out in history. The ruling party must look beyond their only one behomoth or Goliath. There is a David in your camp. They  should allow and use the party as a vehicle to birth a new Nigeria, not only to stay in power.

In Nigeria, anything can happen, Ibrahim Babangida’s effrontery to pick the nomination form of the ruling PDP is the peak of bizarre that dot the nation’s psyche.  With Obasanjo’s blistered relationships with most of the governors, who accidentally happen to have the delegates in their pockets and giving the pedigree of IBB as the game master of corruption, the evil genius is on his way to clinching the PDP ticket.  Most PDP governors will rather choose to queue behind Babangida in a secret balloting than behind Obasanjo, whom most of them see as their compulsive nightmare.

General Babangida: Second Coming of a Nigerian Looter
Written by Againstbabangida.com
Femi Oyesanya
I define re-looting as a process by which a typical African dictator tries to retun to power after an original term, in an attempt to impose a second-round of misrule and corruption.  Nigeria’s "Dictator-General," the disgraced General Ibrahim Babangida, in deciding to contest in Nigeria’s upcoming elections, is a classic representation of the re-looting sydrome.  The marauding beast, once again, wants to pounce on Nigeria by the throat.  And as a vulture, he craves to return to unfinished carcass.

“Who does this man think he is? He wants to come back to do what? Is it to impose more hardships on us; to steal more of our money and kill more of our people? If it remains one person to fight against this man with all his might and means, that man will be Gani Fawehinmi. ...We must resist and oppose him.” - Gani Fawehinmi, Human Rights Lawyer.
