Umar Faults Nwosu Over IBB

Activist former military officer, Col. Abubakar Dangiwa Umar, says it is a great error for Professor Humphrey Nwosu to exonerate former dictator, Ibrahim Babangida, of blame over the annulment of the June 12 election, pointing out that Babangida presided over the entire machinery of governance during the period and could not be absolved of blame over the annulment that happened under his watch.

click to expand image Former chairman of the defunct National Electoral Commission in the Babangida years, who conducted the annuled June 12 election, Prof. Humphrey Nwosu, is receiving condemnation across Nigeria for absolving former power-hungry dictator, General Ibrahim Babangida, of blame in the annulment of the June 12 presidential election. It is alleged that Nwosu has a paymaster for trying to polish Babangida's battered public image.

The ground is being prepared for the rumored return of General Ibrahim Babangida to politics, as his incubated former electoral figurehead, Prof. Humphrey Nwosu, suddenly came out of hiding to acknowledge what the whole world knows - that MKO Abiola won the June 12 election - while absolving the Evil Genius of any blame for the most dastardly crime against democracy in Nigeria's history. He says Babangida was overcome by other generals who would not uphold the outcome of the election.
